How It Works
INDION Lampak is a compact unit combining a pump, static mixer, flocculator, lamella clarifier, gravity sand filter and chemical dosing system in one skid. It produces disinfected drinking water with less than 5 mg/l suspended solids from feed water carrying up to 500 mg/l — turbid surface water that would otherwise be unsafe to drink.
The INDION New Generation Iron Removal Filter (NGIRF) targets a different rural problem: groundwater carrying dissolved ferrous iron, which is clear when drawn but turns turbid on contact with air. Its iron-removal media works by catalytic oxidation, and for feed water with excessive iron content, an aeration tank fitted with spray nozzles is recommended as pretreatment ahead of the filter.
