Water is a critical input for automotive manufacturing processes such as car painting and coating, rinsing and washing. Ion Exchange applies membrane treatment and recycling to these processes, removing free-floating and emulsified oil, grease, colour and suspended particles to make the recycled water fit for reuse.
Solutions are offered on a turnkey basis, covering coolant, rinse-bath and paint-bath recovery duties across the manufacturing line.
How It Works
Membrane separation uses pressure to drive the feed stream across a semi-permeable membrane, physically separating oil, grease, colour and suspended particles from the water.
The treated stream is recycled back into the manufacturing process, reducing the volume of fresh water the plant needs to draw.
Key Offerings for the Automobile Industry
Coolant Oil Recovery
Recovers coolants and oils from manufacturing processes for reuse.
Rinse Bath De-greasing Treatment
Treats rinse-bath effluent to remove grease and contaminants.
Paint Recovery from Paint Bath (E-Coat)
Recovers paint material from electrocoat painting processes.
Why Membrane Treatment for Automobile Manufacturing
Reduces Fresh-Water Consumption
Recycling treated water back into the process cuts how much fresh water the plant needs to draw.
Security Against Water Shortages
On-site water reuse reduces dependence on external supply during periods of shortage.
Compliance with Discharge Norms
Treating rinse and paint-bath effluent before reuse or discharge helps the plant meet discharge requirements.
