Softeners

Efficient water softening solutions to remove hardness, prevent scale formation and protect industrial equipment

Twin softener vessels and brine tanks in a water treatment plant

Overview

Water Softeners remove hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions from water through an ion-exchange process, replacing them with sodium ions. The system uses cation exchange resin and periodic salt (brine) regeneration to maintain softening efficiency. Softened water helps prevent scale formation in boilers, heat exchangers, cooling systems, and other industrial equipment.

Product range

  • Industrial Downflow Softener

INDION Industrial Downflow Softener is a manually operated unit designed especially for industrial use. It is simple to operate, economical to maintain and is widely used in the industry.

  • Packaged Upflow Softener

INDION Upflow Softener incorporates the proven technique of counterflow regeneration, which produces treated water with low residual hardness throughout the cycle.

  • New Generation Auto & Manual Softeners

INDION NG Softeners (NGS) are intended to remove hardness present in feedwater. The unit incorporates a softener resin in sodium form which removes hardness present in water and produces soft water. On exhaustion, the unit is regenerated with 15% w/v solution of sodium chloride.
