Rinse Bath De-greasing Treatment

The de-greasing rinse bath system removes excess oils, grease and other contaminants from the surface of automobile bodies. Over time these contaminants build up in the tank, affecting the quality of finished parts, and the rinse bath generates a significant volume of wastewater that is complex to treat because it is contaminated with de-greasing chemicals.

A membrane system recovers spray rinse solution by separating suspended solids (TSS), emulsified oil and grease from the spray rinse bath using advanced membrane technology. Rinse solution recovered in the permeate stream can be reused directly in the rinse bath system.

How It Works

Spray rinse bath water is passed across a membrane that separates suspended solids, emulsified oil and grease from the bulk liquid. The clarified permeate is collected for reuse in the rinse bath.

The membranes used for this duty are chemical- and abrasion-resistant and pH stable, able to handle low or high pH conditions in continuous operation, and are backflushable — which keeps permeate flow rate stable over a longer duration of operation than a non-backflushable membrane would sustain.
