ION EXCHANGE

INDUSTRIAL SEGMENT

Photovoltaic & Micro Electronics

For Photovoltaic and Micro Electronics Industry sector, Ion Exchange offers complete integrated solutions for Ultrapure Water, Process & Utility Water, Effluent Treatment, Advanced Recycle Systems and Zero Liquid Discharge System.

OVERVIEW

Complete integrated solutions for solar cell manufacturing

Ultra pure water

Solar cell fabrication requires Ultra Pure Water to avoid: Metallic contamination who presence reduces efficiency, particulate deposits which may develop into micro-cracks and Organic traces who presence will result in poor anti-reflective coating adhesion.

Ion Exchange offers 18+ MΩ·cm quality water, as per SEMI & ASTM standards.

Effluent treatment, recycle & ZLD solutions

  • Rinse Effluent is treated & recycled to UPW, Utility water and Cooling tower make-up.
  • Concentrated Effluent Treatment (CET) characteristics with COD, TDS, Phosphorus, Silica, Fluoride…. Needs to be treated by Physico-chemical, biological treatment system …further treated downstream recycle & ZLD system.
  • Abatement Systems (HF / NH₃ / NOₓ): Effluent may contain 10 to 200 ppm of total ammonia depending on the process and water usage efficiency is toxic aquatic life and Corrosive to metal pipelines and may interfere with biological treatment in ETPs.

  1. Ion Exchange was awarded with an order Water system to produce Ultra Pure Water UPW and Waste water treatment plant including the recycle & ZLD system.

  2. To produce Ultra Pure Water UPW Indion SWIFT-Auto DM plant 60m3/hr (2W+1S) was preferred over the EDI Technology.

  3. Reverse Osmosis in both water & waste recycle system, Ion Exchange’s Hydramem make UF & RO are being installed.

  4. Zero Discharge is achieved with help of MEE/ATFD to handle the RO rejects.
