AUTOMOTIVE CASE STUDY

STP 900 m³/day & ETP 2,050 m³/day Recycle + ZLD

Integrated wastewater treatment and ZLD for sustainable automotive operations in Andhra Pradesh.

Client

Automobile Industry

Location

Andhra Pradesh

Capacity

STP 900 m³/day · ETP 2,050 m³/day

THE CHALLENGE

Treat varied wastewater streams while maximising recovery

The plant needed to treat sewage and multiple industrial wastewater streams with varying characteristics while achieving high recovery, reducing freshwater dependence and meeting CPCB, APPCB and ZLD requirements.

ENGINEERING APPROACH

Engineering approach

Separate STP and ETP systems integrate physico-chemical and biological treatment, UF, three-stage RO and MEE, supported by PLC/SCADA-based monitoring.

Recovery and reuse at every stage

  • 01

    ZLD compliance

Zero liquid discharge achieved; CPCB/APPCB norms met.

  • 02

    Process reuse

Treated water reused for process requirements.

  • 03

    Freshwater reduction

Approximately 92% overall recovery lowers external freshwater demand.

  • 04

    Reject management

RO reject concentrated through MEE to meet ZLD compliance.

  • 05

    Circularity

Wastewater converted into a reliable, reusable resource.
