One of India’s leading consumer wellness and food companies is an Indian consumer goods company. The company manufactures mineral and herbal products. One of India’s leading consumer wellness and food companies planned to set up a green field food park project in Haridwar where fresh water cost is very high. Water scarcity and stringent discharge norms were major challenges for one of India’s leading consumer wellness and food companies.
The Solutions
Ion Exchange made an unsolicited bid to one of India’s leading consumer wellness and food companies for a proposal to treat the complex effluent for the treated water to be reused at their facility. One of India’s leading consumer wellness and food companies considered this proposal and the contract was awarded. IEI installed State of the art – 5 MLD complex effluent recycling plant with complete “Zero Liquid Discharge” set up.
Result
This helped one of India’s leading consumer wellness and food companies to not only adhere to the local discharge norms but also helped them to become more water efficient by reducing their intake of fresh water in a water scarce area where their facility was located.
