During the peak Covid-19 pandemic period (May 2021), a leading integrated flat carbon steel manufacturer, set up a 300 bed facility for patients at their Hazira, Gujarat facility under their CSR initiative. The facility provided all necessary services including food and medicine to the impacted people. Ion Foundation, which is the CSR arm of Ion Exchange (India) Ltd., partnered with them in this noble cause. Through ZeroB, the flagship brand of Ion Exchange’s home water solutions business, Ion Foundation installed the ZeroB Eco Chill Water Dispenser at the Covid-19 facility. Our high-capacity UV water purifier cum storage cooler ensured pure, cool and fresh water to everyone at the treatment centre. Ion Exchange was thus able to contribute to one of the very important Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6) by providing clean drinking water to the community impacted by Covid-19.
