INDION® ORC – Dechlorination media
INDION® ORC enhances the Redox process to remove oxidants such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, Sodium hypochlorite etc. Free chlorine is converted to less harmful chloride ions and being a catalyst it will not be consumed in the reaction.
Unique Features
- Less Empty Bed Contact Time required and can handle up to high concentration of chlorine (15-20ppm)
- Does not get consumed in the reaction , hence higher life compared to Activated Carbon Filter.
- Does not form the fines during operation.
- Does not leach out silica /hardness during operation.
- Half Dechlorination value is 1.5 times higher compared to Activated Carbon, which results in 700-800 iodine value.
- Enhances life of polishing Carbon filter used for removal of pesticides, Organics.
- Withstands oxidizing chemicals used for sanitization of system and can handle hot water (80°C) sanitization in food & Beverage industry.
- Efficient backwash is achievable compared to activated carbon.
- Significantly reduces operation expenses due to higher life , less quantity of media , superior mechanical /chemical/thermal resistance compared to activated carbon.
