<p><br />As cities face rapid urbanization and growing population infrastructures to deliver safe drinking water, they run into challenges like land scarcity, high costs, and complex distribution systems. Ion Exchange Technologies performed to strengthen the capacity of the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant (200 MGD) with its world–leading Ultra High Rate Clarifier (UHRC) Technology. The INDION UHRC is an innovative water treatment solution that incorporates mixing, flocculation, and sedimentation in one compact unit designed to increase capacity without requiring additional land. Utilizing a series of electromechanical modifications, the capacity of each Clari-flocculator at the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant rose from a capacity of 12.5 MGD to over 22 MGD, an improvement of approximately 75% &#8211; 80%. The modification now allows them to handle raw water turbidity of up to 4000 ppm and deliver treated water with turbidity less than 30 ppm, which is positive for the efficiency, process, and capacity utilization of the facility. Ion Exchange Technology&#8217;s advancement of the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant emphasizes their technical expertise, as they successfully provide innovative, space-efficient, and sustainable solutions for urban water treatment.</p>
